The objective is, of course, to give the breast its natural appearance and size after a mastectomy.<\/p>\n<h4>Although breast reconstruction can rebuild your breast, the results are highly variable\u00a0:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>A reconstructed breast will not feel the same as the breast it replaces.<\/li>\n<li>Visible incision lines will always be present on the breast after a reconstruction or mastectomy.<\/li>\n<li>Some surgical techniques will leave incision lines at the donor site, commonly located in less exposed areas of the body such as the back, abdomen or buttocks.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Note on symmetry: Symmetry surgeries are also covered by the RAMQ.
