Injections and minor surgeries

Many cosmetic procedures involve nothing more than an injection or minor surgery under local anesthetic. These treatments are much less invasive than surgery and minimize discomfort, healing time, and the risk of scarring. They are also much more affordable and can be completed quickly, starting on your first visit.

For example, some patients have moles, cysts, or other skin lesions they dislike. These can be removed through a minor, painless procedure. Note that if a mole changes in size, shape, or colour, you should see a healthcare professional.

Injections like Botox and fillers can help rejuvenate the face and slow down the appearance of certain signs of aging. A variety of treatment options are available depending on the part of the face involved and the desired results. Make an appointment to find the best way to restore your natural glow.

Botox injections

Botox injections slow the onset of wrinkles by selectively relaxing certain facial muscles. The effects of this non-permanent treatment last 3 to 4 months on average before the muscles gradually regain their normal function.

This treatment is mainly used to soften facial expression lines. However, it has little effect on wrinkles that show when muscles are at rest. These wrinkles are best addressed using dermal fillers.

Dermal fillers

Dermal fillers can restore a face’s radiance and youthfulness by enhancing its volume and definition or by reducing certain wrinkles. Results last a year on average but vary from 6 to 18 months depending on the filler used and the area treated. These products should be used sparingly so as to avoid undesired effects and simply refresh your face.

Excision, removal, or resection of cosmetic lesions

Beauty spots, cysts, and other benign skin lesions can become unsightly or cause discomfort. Such lesions can be removed precisely and painlessly with minor surgery. Our plastic surgeons will suggest the best approach to minimize scarring based on type and location of the lesion.
